Immigration officers consider various things before approval of the Visa, after that they decide if you can come to Canada. You must be an authentic visitor to Canada who will get back at the end of the visit. An officeholder will consider the following aspects:

  • Your ties to your home country.

  • The purpose of your visit.

  • Your family and finances.

  • The overall political and economic steadiness of your country.

  • Invitation letter from the host.

  • Prove that your child or grandchild, who is in Canada.

  • Provide a written statement that your child or grandchild will financially support you.

Eligibility

The following pointers are considered to be eligible for a super visa:
Be the parent or grandparent of a permanent resident or Canadian citizen of Canada
Have a signed letter from child or grandchild who invites you to Canada and the letter must include:
>> A promise of financial support
>> The list and number of people in the family of this person
>> A copy of this person’s permanent resident document or Canadian citizenship

Medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company

>> Valid for at least 1 year from the date of
>> At least $100,000 coverage

Financial support (proof of funds)

The child or grandchild who calls you must prove that their house meets the minimum necessary income. The following documents can be used as proof of funds:
>> Notice of Assessment (NOA)
>> Employment Insurance stubs
>> Employment letter including salary and date of hire
>> Pay stubs
>> Bank statements
