Once you’ve decided to study, you need to consider application deadlines, entry dates, student visa processing times and English language.
Canadian colleges and universities offer plenty of short-term summer language courses, continuing exchange and education programs. The prime intake is in September, though many small colleges and universities have an intake as well in January. The few things you need to consider before applying to college or university:
An acceptance letter from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
A valid passport or travel document.
Prove that you have sufficient money to pay your living expenses, tuition fees for yourself and return transportation for yourself.
Be an honest citizen with no criminal record, you may need to provide a police certificate.
Be in good health.
Convince an immigration officer that you will get back to your country after your study completion.
Get your documents ready.
Before you apply for a study visa, the following documents are required:
An acceptance letter from a designated learning institution (DLI).
A valid passport.
Proof you can support yourself, and family members who want to travel with you.
VALIDITY:
Student visas are issued for five years, depending upon the duration of the course. They can also be extended.
ENTRY POINTS:
Applicant having valid Student visa are allowed to enter from any immigration check post (Airport, Seaport).
